Partners and Alliances

Camp Fire North Shore works with Lynn Public Schools to bring after-school and summer programming to public school students located across the city. We service students across the district by providing out-of-school time programming directly in school buildings and at our program facility. For funded programs we work closely with school Principals and Social Workers to recruit and support students.

The Salem Public Schools is a diverse and welcoming community that promotes each student’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development through the equitable delivery of challenging, relevant, and joyful learning experiences. They empower all students to chart a personalized path to success that includes a commitment to the common good.

The Woburn-based Cummings Foundation, Inc. was established in 1986  by Joyce and Bill Cummings and has grown to be one of the largest private foundations in New England. The Cummings $25 Million Grant Program supports Massachusetts nonprofits that are based in and primarily serve Middlesex, Essex and Suffolk counties.

Camp Fire North Shore is the recipient of 21st CCLC grant funding managed by DESE and in partnership with Lynn Public Schools. The purpose of the federally funded 21st CCLC grant is to support the implementation of additional learning time through out-of-school time (OST) programming and/or through an expanded day referred to as Expanded Learning Time or ELT. Programming is designed to help close proficiency/opportunity gaps, increase student engagement, support social and emotional learning, and promote college and career readiness and success

Education Comes First works with non profit youth organizations to ensure they maintain a high level of education that helps build confidence, social and emotional well-being, and foster a passion for the love of learning.

We’re proud to be selected as one of 124 new partners of United Way of Massachusetts Bay, a recognition of our organization’s potential to advance an economically-just region where access to financial wellbeing is universal and prosperity is shared across race and ethnicity. We’re excited to play a role in expanding access to high-quality, affordable out of school time programs on the North Shore. Together, we won’t just be addressing the symptoms of poverty, we will be changing the systems and conditions that create barriers for individuals and families. We are looking forward to a future where everyone is empowered to achieve financial wellbeing and where our communities are even more vibrant, abundant and equitable.

The Afterschool Alliance is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization in the United States whose mission is “to ensure that all children have access to affordable, quality afterschool programs.” It uses communications and advocacy strategies to increase public and private investments in afterschool programs. The Alliance serves as both a central resource center for afterschool programs, as well as a public advocate.

The Food Project‘s mission is to create a thoughtful and productive community of youth and adults from diverse backgrounds who work together to build a sustainable food system. CFNS partners with the Food Project to expose our program participants to gardening,  sustainability and food security issues.

MAP, Massachusetts Afterschool Partnership, is the only statewide afterschool advocacy group devoted to promoting expanded learning opportunities in Massachusetts. We partner with MAP to inform our program design and activities, and to provide professional development opportunities to our staff.

Since 1948 the LHAND has had a mission of assisting low and moderate-income families and individuals with safe and affordable housing. LHAND continues to be committed to enhancing the quality of our community and building stronger, healthier neighborhoods by providing a wide range of neighborhood services and funding a variety of grant and loan programs that address the needs of renters, owners, homebuyers, and nonprofit housing providers. CFNS partners with LHAND by providing child care slots in our After School and summer programs.

Mini Movers Studio is an on-location dance studio dedicated to inspiring movement and fun for children between the ages of 2 and 10. In offering an array of classes, Mini Movers provides top notch instruction while instilling confidence and creativity in young movers! Camp Fire partners with Mini Movers by offering Story Movement Dance club at Shoemaker Elementary School and by offering enrichment sessions at our licensed after school programs.

The UMass Extension Nutrition Education Program (NEP) provides individuals, families, and communities with the knowledge and skills for healthier eating through research-based nutrition education that makes a real difference.  With field offices throughout Massachusetts, and in partnership with local agencies, organizations, and schools, NEP helps low-income individuals and families make the most of their limited food resources. Our program evaluations show that through NEP’s hands-on learning, practical tips, personal goal-setting, and small changes over time, our participants make healthier food choices, handle foods more safely, and are physically more active – all of which lead to better health. CFNS partners with NEP to bring research-based nutrition education into our after school and summer camp programming.
